Birth Angel Woven Blanket — Personalized Angel Throw | Birth Angel Registry
Materials
  • Woven from a premium heavyweight cotton-and-polyester blend on a professional jacquard loom — thick and hard-wearing, yet soft to the touch.
  • The angel is woven directly into the cloth, not printed on top, using colour-fast dyed yarns, so the design is part of the fabric itself.
  • Rich, fade-resistant colours that stay vivid through years of display and washing.
  • Generous tapestry-throw format, finished with a tasselled fringe along the edges.
  • Made to drape over a sofa or the foot of a bed, hang on a wall, or wrap around your shoulders.
  • Approximately 50" x 60" (130 x 150 cm). Machine washable on a gentle cold cycle.
Design

The angel of the birth date is woven at the centre of the throw in the colours of the devotional manuscripts our illustrations draw on: soft alabaster, dusty blue and gold on a warm cream ground. Beneath it runs a banner carrying the angel’s name, and along the foot, the name and date of birth of the person it was made for.

Every element is rendered thread by thread rather than printed — an heirloom-weight piece that reads as clearly from across a room as it does wrapped around your shoulders.

Research

The angel is drawn from a traditional calendar that divides the year into seventy-two windows of about five days, each carrying the name of an angel. We worked from several independent published versions of that calendar and used only what they agree on.

Where sources contradict each other, we leave the detail out rather than choose between them. The calendar is fixed and public, so the same birth date always gives the same angel — you can check it, and it will match.

Personalization

You don’t need to know anything about birth angels in advance. Enter a first name and a date of birth at checkout, and the calendar does the rest: that date decides which of the seventy-two angels is woven, and the name is woven along the foot of the throw.

Ordering for someone else, or in memory of someone? Enter their name and their date of birth — the piece is made for them.

Woven to Last Generations

This is more than a blanket. It is a custom-woven keepsake — the angel of one birth date rendered thread by thread, with the name woven into the cloth. Drape it over a chair, hang it on the wall, wrap up in it on a cold evening, or pass it on to someone who will keep the date as carefully as you did.

FAQs

What is the blanket made of, and what size is it?

A premium heavyweight cotton-and-polyester blend, woven on a jacquard loom and finished with a tasselled fringe. It measures approximately 50" x 60" (130 x 150 cm) and is machine washable on a gentle cold cycle.

Is the design printed on the blanket?

No — it is woven into the cloth with colour-fast dyed yarns, so the design is part of the fabric rather than a layer on top of it. That is why the colours survive years of use and washing.

What exactly is woven into it?

The angel of the birth date you enter, with the angel’s name on the banner beneath it, and the name and date of birth of the person it was made for along the foot of the throw.

Do you ship worldwide?

Yes — we offer worldwide shipping. Each throw is woven to order, so please allow 7–10 business days for production, plus shipping time.

I don’t know anything about birth angels. Can I still order?

Yes — you don’t need to know anything in advance. Enter a first name and a date of birth, and the calendar does the rest.

How is the birth angel decided?

By the date of birth alone. The calendar divides the year into seventy-two windows of about five days, and each window has one angel. It is fixed and published, so the same birth date always reveals the same angel.

What if two people share the same birth angel?

They will — and we say so openly. Everyone born within the same five-day window shares the angel. What makes each throw unique is the name and the date woven into it.

Is this a reading or a prediction?

No. We present a documented traditional calendar as a keepsake. We make no promises about protection, fortune or the future.

Can I order it as a gift, or in memory of someone?

Yes — many of these are ordered for a mother or a grandmother, or in memory of someone loved. Enter their name and date of birth and the throw is woven for them.

What if I’m not happy with it?

Every order is covered by our 90-day money-back guarantee. Write to us and we’ll make it right — no forms, no hassle.
