- Every element embroidered by hand in silk and gold metallic thread — no printing anywhere on the piece.
- A scalloped lower edge finished with hand-knotted gold fringe, in the same metallic bullion used for ceremonial banners.
- Hung from a turned pale oak rod with wooden finials; rod and hanging fixture included, ready to display the moment it arrives.
- Approximately 16" x 20" (40 x 50 cm). Spot clean only.
Design
The angel is embroidered at the centre of the linen in the colours of the devotional manuscripts our illustrations draw on: soft alabaster, dusty blue and gold. A slender olive-leaf vine frames the figure, and below it a curved ribbon carries the angel’s name in gold thread.
Because each stitch is placed by hand, the figure sits raised above the cloth with genuine depth — the light catches the gold along the ridges of the thread. It reads clearly from across a room, and rewards you when you stand close.
Research
The angel is drawn from a traditional calendar that divides the year into seventy-two windows of about five days, each carrying the name of an angel. We worked from several independent published versions of that calendar and used only what they agree on.
Where sources contradict each other, we leave the detail out rather than choose between them. The calendar is fixed and public, so the same birth date always gives the same angel — you can check it, and it will match.
Personalization
There is nothing to write. Enter a date of birth at checkout and the calendar does the rest: that date decides which of the seventy-two angels is embroidered, and which name is worked into the ribbon.
Ordering for someone else? Enter their date of birth. Everyone born within the same five-day window shares the same angel — we say so openly, and it is the point: the banner marks the days, not the person.
Every Stitch Placed by Hand
This is the one piece in our collection that no machine touches. The linen is stretched on a frame and the angel is built up thread by thread in silk and gold — the wings, the folds of the robe, the letters of the name, each worked by a single embroiderer over several days. That is why the figure stands raised off the cloth, why the gold catches the light the way it does, and why the colours will still be true long after you have passed it on. It arrives on its rod, finished and ready to hang.
It Arrives Ready to Give
Each banner is rolled around its rod, wrapped in tissue and packed in a plain cream box, with a blank card left inside for you to write on. There is no branding on the outside, so if it is going straight to the person it was made for, it arrives looking like what it is — a gift, not a delivery. And because the rod and the hanging fixture are already fitted, whoever opens it can put it on the wall the same afternoon.
FAQs
What is the banner made of, and what size is it?
Warm ivory linen with a dusty-blue border, a scalloped lower edge and hand-knotted gold fringe, hung from a turned pale oak rod. It measures approximately 16" x 20" (40 x 50 cm) and is spot clean only.
Is the design printed on the banner?
No. Every element is embroidered by hand in silk and gold metallic thread. Nothing on this piece is printed — the figure sits raised above the linen and you can feel it under your hand.
What exactly is embroidered on it?
The angel of the birth date you enter, framed by an olive-leaf vine, with the angel’s name worked in gold thread on the ribbon below. Nothing else — no dates and no paragraphs.
Does it come ready to hang?
Yes. It arrives on its pale oak rod with the hanging fixture included — nothing to assemble, nothing to buy separately.
Why is this piece more expensive than the others?
Because it is the only one worked entirely by hand. A single embroiderer spends several days on each banner. Our other pieces are beautiful and made to last, but they are made by machine.
Do you ship worldwide?
Yes — we offer worldwide shipping. Each banner is embroidered by hand to order, so please allow 14–21 business days for production, plus shipping time.
I don’t know anything about birth angels. Can I still order?
Yes — you don’t need to know anything in advance. Enter a date of birth and the calendar does the rest.
How is the birth angel decided?
By the date of birth alone. The calendar divides the year into seventy-two windows of about five days, and each window has one angel. It is fixed and published, so the same birth date always reveals the same angel.
What if two people share the same birth angel?
They will — and we say so openly. Everyone born within the same five-day window shares the angel.
Is this a reading or a prediction?
No. We present a documented traditional calendar as a keepsake. We make no promises about protection, fortune or the future.
Can I order it as a gift, or in memory of someone?
Yes — many are ordered for a mother or a grandmother, or in memory of someone loved. Enter their date of birth and the banner is embroidered for them.
What if I’m not happy with it?
Every order is covered by our 90-day money-back guarantee. Write to us and we’ll make it right — no forms, no hassle.

""The Most Thoughtful Birth Keepsake I've Found…" I've come across several personalized spiritual gifts over the years, so when I first discovered Birth Angel, I wasn't entirely sure what to expect. I'm usually cautious with companies I find online, especially when faith and tradition are involved. But this turned out to be a remarkably thoughtful and professional experience. My report clearly explained the traditional 72-angel calendar and showed how my birth date corresponded to one specific angel. I appreciated that there were no vague predictions or exaggerated promises. Everything was presented openly, respectfully, and with a beautiful devotional tone. The angel portrait was stunning, and the information about the name, meaning, celestial choir, traditional verse, and birth-date window made it feel deeply personal. It was carefully assembled and clearly created with genuine attention to detail. This is more than a decorative print. It is something meaningful that I will keep for many years."

""The Perfect Gift for My Mother" I ordered a Birth Angel Portrait for my mother's birthday, and it was even more beautiful than I expected. The artwork arrived carefully packaged, and the dark wood frame and soft gold details looked elegant without feeling overly ornate. What made it truly special was seeing her own name and birth date connected to the angel traditionally associated with the exact days in which she was born. She immediately wanted to read every detail about the angel's meaning, celestial choir, and traditional verse. You can tell this is not simply a framed print. It feels like a personal devotional keepsake created specifically for the person receiving it. My mother now has it hanging beside her favorite reading chair, and she tells everyone who visits the story behind it."

""Exceeded My Expectations in Every Way" I'll admit that I was skeptical at first. There are so many websites offering generalized spiritual readings that I assumed this might be something similar. What I received from Birth Angel was completely different. The report openly explained that the birth angel is determined by a traditional calendar divided into 72 date windows, with the same birth date always corresponding to the same angel. I was able to verify the angel connected to my date independently, which gave the entire experience a sense of transparency and credibility. The report itself was beautifully presented. It included the angel's name, traditional meaning, celestial choir, associated verse, date window, and a Renaissance-inspired portrait. Nothing was written as fortune-telling or as a promise about the future. Instead, it felt reflective, devotional, and historically inspired. I contacted the team with a question about my personalized dedication, and they responded with care and made sure everything was exactly right. The final portrait is now one of the most meaningful pieces in my home."

""A Beautiful Piece for Our Home" Absolutely stunning. I wasn't expecting the level of detail and care that went into the Birth Angel Portrait. The angel illustration, parchment-style design, gold accents, and personalized dedication all work beautifully together. It feels traditional and spiritual, but still tasteful enough to display in a modern home. We ordered it for my wife, and it now hangs in our bedroom where she can see it every morning. Learning the name and meaning of the angel traditionally connected to her birth date made the portrait feel far more personal than an ordinary piece of religious artwork."

""A Powerful Reminder of Someone I Will Always Love" I wasn't sure what to expect when I ordered a Birth Angel Pendant in memory of my mother. I thought it would be a beautiful keepsake, but I didn't realize how emotional it would feel when I finally held it in my hands. The front showed the angel traditionally associated with her birth date, together with the angel's name and date window. On the back were my mother's name and the date she was born. The engraving was delicate and elegant, and the presentation box made the entire piece feel very special. My mother was a woman of deep faith, and having something connected to both her birth and a centuries-old devotional tradition gave me a comforting way to remember her. I especially appreciated that Birth Angel did not make predictions or claims about her life. The meaning was presented gently and respectfully. I wear the pendant often. It gives me a quiet sense of connection to her, and it is something I know I will keep for the rest of my life."

""I Ordered Mine Out of Curiosity and Ended Up Moved to Tears" I originally ordered the Birth Angel Report simply because I was curious to know which angel was traditionally connected to my birthday. I expected something interesting, but I didn't expect it to feel so personal. The portrait was graceful and serene, and the explanation of the angel's name, meaning, celestial choir, traditional verse, and date window was beautifully written. The design reminded me of an illuminated manuscript, with its parchment background, soft gold details, and classical artwork. What touched me most was the feeling of having something created specifically around the day I entered the world. It was not presented as a prediction or mystical reading, but as a meaningful devotional tradition. I later ordered the framed portrait for myself, and it now has a special place in my living room. I highly recommend Birth Angel to anyone looking for a personal gift of faith, remembrance, or reflection."
